Weekend Inspiration: Vamp Pout

to my fellow Aussies, happy Queen's birthday weekend!

to the rest of the world, happy saturday!

regardless of whether you are celebrating a long weekend, or if you are just heading out this weekend, a little beauty inspo never hurt anyone!

now...here in the land far far away, or down under as some would say, we are enjoying our winter. this, of course, in turn means warm coats, luxe scarfs and lots of leather. generally, there is alot of black on black, can't go wrong.

what looks striking with a fabulous winter outfit? glad you asked! an on trend vamp pout.

this look has been circulating the fashion houses in small doses over the last few fall/winter seasons, however this year it is in, in a big way.

this super sexy, half vixen, half vampire look can be achieved using a variety of highly pigmented, full bodied shades, including: deep berry, red wine, purple, burgundy, deep reds and even noir itself (if you are up for it).

see below a couple of displays of this look..

berry...

burgundy...

dark red...

purple...

noir...

and a few of my recommended products to achieve said look, all rrp: $20.00 - $50.00...

for me tonight, i'm heading to a friend's birthdy drinks. although my outfit is fairly casual, i've given it a bit of an edge with my vampy lips. in the picture below i've tried out the Revlon va va violet, which i picked up super cheap at Chemist Warehouse (was on sale for under $10.00!!), which goes on nicely however is quite thin so needs a few coats. my preference for the same shade but a better consistency and application is the Mac satin lipstick in cybe (pictured above). here's how i've gone...!

shameless selfie... no filter. clean skin with a touch of concealer under eyes and liquid eyeliner + mascara combo

definitely give this a go. it's a bit of fun and adds a bit of glam gothica to your usual makeup look.

good luck beauties and have a fab weekend!

B xoxo
